This website collects and uses personal information for the following reasons:

3.1 Site visitation tracking

Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.

Should you choose to add a comment to any posts that we have published on our blog, the name and email address you enter with your comment will be saved to this website’s database, along with your computer’s IP address and the time and date that you submitted the comment. This information is only used to identify you as a contributor to the comment section of the respective blog post and is not passed on to any third party data processors. Only your name will be shown on the public-facing website although if the supplied email address is linked to a Gravatar account, your Gravatar photo will also be displayed.

The Company may also use such Voluntary Information for marketing its products and services to you via the Stratability Academy Portal customer service. You can control what your receive via the communication options within the Portal settings.

The Company may, from time to time, send notices about special offers, promotions or contests via the portal. You can control receipt and sign up to participate in any of these via the settings in the portal.

To maintain customer service standards and to assist staff training, we may record and monitor incoming calls.

3.4 Discussion and social media forums

The Company operates discussions on various social media forums in which we may inform you about news, new services, features or products (including the same sourced from other suppliers) and about upcoming events or special promotions.

Users who join these discussions will be able to control whether they receive this information via the standard controls on these platforms.

 

4.0 WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE STORE

As soon as you contact us or register with us, we create a record in your name. To that record we add information that you give us whenever you contact us. We are likely to hold your name and contact details, details of enquiries you have made, and your training interests.

 

If you become a user of our services, this might include diagnostic quizzes you complete, or modules you add to your basket, then we add this further information you to your registered record and maintain this throughout your training history. We may also automatically collect technical information when you browse our websites.

If you receive email marketing communications, we record if you open them.

We record chat communications between you and the Stratability Academy to make sure that we have carried out your instructions correctly and to help us improve our services.

In the near future we aim to change the storage of this data to a pseudonymous fashion meaning that the data would require additional processing using a separately stored ‘key’ before it could be used to identify an individual.

Pseudonymisation is a recent requirement of the GDPR which many web application developers are currently working to fully implement. We are committed to keeping it as a high priority and will implement it on this website as soon as we are able to.

We will report any unlawful data breach of this website’s database to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that personal data stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen
